This  IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

WHEN WE WORK Together .

Hello, I’m Rebecca Prien.

I am an attorney; and I am a spiritual teacher. Fluent in law and energy, I run my businesses (I have two) on both strategy and spiritual practice; and I live and breath both/and. It’s who I am.

So, the way I work with you and think about your business is not attorney-as-usual. I show up: strategic, spiritual, intellectual, intuitive, whole—and empty. So you can too.

My aim is to breathe air into the legal needs of your business, so they are easy and enjoyable—like a natural extension of your work—not a burden.

To that, I bring all of

My Traning & Experience:

as an Attorney
As an attorney, Rebecca is a renegade:  vibrant, accessible, present and strategic.  She deftly translates law into something truly useful for her clients—a tool to not just protect but grow a legacy business.

As a business strategist, Rebecca has a unique talent for integrating seemingly incompatible talents into unique business models.  Her deep understanding of intellectual property and the thought leadership field (Rebecca is a thought leader herself on entrepreneurship) makes her strategic advising both expansive and sound.

As one client put it, “Rebecca, you always ask the questions I don’t think to ask.”

Her clients consistently tell her that she brings more value to their businesses than they’d ever expected.

Rebecca has been practicing law since 2001.  She graduated from Princeton University in 1996 and Boston University School of Law in 2001, where she was a member of the coveted Law Review.  She practiced at two AM-100 law firms and two United States Courts of Appeals before starting Counsel to Creativity in 2009. She has advised 100s of business owners in the fields of coaching, consulting and training, design, fine art, jewelry and fashion, health and wellness, social gaming, and digital type.

as a Spiritual Teacher

Rebecca has studied and practiced yoga since 2000. Since 2006, she has been a student of living masters Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati (deceased in 2012), Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati and Yogacarya Sakti Durgaya, in the lineage of the Indian saint, Neem Karoli Baba. Baba’s lineage is a naad (sound) and bhakti (devotional) lineage, which has played a significant role in bringing mantra and kirtan to the United States. Ma’s lineage is Kali Natha Yoga, a tantric practice that weaves together flow-style asana practice with mudra, mantra and pranayama.

Rebecca obtained her 200-hour yoga teacher’s certification in Classical Yoga from Swami Jaya Devi at Kashi Atlanta in 2008, and her my 500-hr certification in Kali Natha Yoga from Acarya Shakti Durgaya at Sacred Kashi Ashram in 2020.

She continues to be taught mystically by Ma, Baba and Swami Bhagavan Nityananda (of the Siddha Yoga lineage) and personally by Sw. Jaya Devi and Y.Ac. Sakti Durgaya.

Most recently, Rebecca has studied voice and sacred sound with kirtan artist and Kundalini Yoga teacher, Simrit Kaur, and mantra and Sanskrit with native practitioner of Kashmir Shaivism, Shivani Hawkins, Founder of Living Sanskrit.

Most importantly, Rebecca practices. She has practiced mantra (nearly) every day since she fell in love with it in 2006. It is through practice that she has cultivated an intimate relationship with these divine energies and sacred practices.

The Counsel to Creativity Team

Nita Apple | Client Care

Nita literally wrote the book on client care (emphasis on care) that is clear, boundaried and kind. (Seriously, you can find her book, Say it with Grace, with co-author Jess Larsen Brennan, who was Counsel to Creativity’s very first virtual assistant, here.) She’s a magician with workflow and communication; a lover of big dogs, big ideas and big hearts; and I cannot not think of one other person I’d rather have working with me to create an outstanding client experience.

Kerry Raleigh | Trademarks

Kerry is a trademark attorney with 18 years of experience, including owning her own practice. Since 2016, she has traveled and taught, reconnecting in each adventure to her purpose. She is the host of the podcasts, Silver Lining Moments and Integrative Lawyers of the World, and she finds the technicalities of trademark registration soothing. (It’s her happy place, and that is a great boon to you and to me.)

I’d love to work with you.

I work with a small number of conscious business owners, spiritual teachers, and transformational leaders each year.

You have my attention, presence and focus.

Rebecca Prien, the attorney you’ve been waiting for your entire life.
